A footy star at The Rural

AFTER eight years with The Rural Peter Durham is taking on a new role as advertising manager with The Daily Advertiser.

Mr Durham said agriculture was in his blood and he had enjoyed meeting so many great people in the industry.

“It (The Rural) is something I will miss very much,” he said.

Mr Durham welcomed new manager of The Rural, Tom Power, who brings to the paper a keen sense of enthusiasm and passion for agriculture.

“Tom is a respected salesman in Wagga and a respected (Australian) football player,” he said.

In fact Mr Power has also been appointed as next year’s captain-coach of the Wagga Tigers in the Riverina Football League.

“A lot of readers would know of my dad (Pebbles),” he said.
