Conargo hosts sheep event

25 Feb, 2010 02:45 PM
CONARGO will play host to the first Sheep Connect NSW Industry Update scheduled to take place on March 17.

The landmark event is set to unveil the latest information for both the wool and meat-sheep industries.

Sheep Connect NSW is a collaborative venture between Industry and Investment NSW (I and I NSW) and Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) to provide a central source for a wide range of sheep industry information.

"The free Conargo sheep industry update is being brought to the heart of sheep country so producers can easily find out the latest developments in their fast-changing industry," Sheep Connect

NSW project co-ordinator, Shelly Anderson, said.

"A range of Australian sheep-industry experts will be attending to discuss key topics directly with sheep producers and hear first-hand about issues concerning producers. "Sheep producers will gain valuable insight on topics as diverse as market outlooks for meat and wool, the comparative profitability of different sheep enterprises, sheep management and the impact of increasing climate variability on the sheep industry." "The aim of Sheep Connect NSW network is to save sheep producers time by providing them with one easily accessed location that provides important information at no cost."
