People considering buying a rural property now have access to a simple guide that highlights the things they need to check before purchase.
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) has recently published a factsheet titled “Precautions when buying rural land” which covers some of the issues to consider when purchasing a rural property.
“It also outlines a wide range of information about rural land use and obligations,” said Melissa Kahler, resource management officer with NSW DPI.
“Buying rural land should be a rewarding experience offering a great lifestyle and potential income – but it is important to do your homework to make sure you know what you’re buying. “A thorough assessment of the suitability of the land for your intended enterprise is critical.”
