LANDHOLDERS in the Hume Livestock Health and Pest Authority (LHPA) will have the opportunity to hear about upcoming livestock health and pest control programs in their region, with a series of information days this month.
Hume LHPA district vets and rangers will be available to talk about issues including footrot, wild dogs, rabbits, the National Livestock Identification Scheme (NLIS) or any other issue affecting farmers.
Hume LHPA general manager, John Knight encouraged landholders to ask questions, offer suggestions and provide feedback.
"These meetings are a way for landholders to talk with the LHPA so we can work together," Mr Knight said.
"The LHPA is interested in what the farmers have to say, we are very interested in a two-way conversation where issues can be discussed and a common solution found," he said.
"We are encouraging all people involved in the farm to attend."
Other organisations will be involved in the information days, including NSW Industry and Investment (I and I) extension staff.
The program for the meetings is:
February 17 The Rock Bowling Club at 11am.
February 18 Illabo Show Ground at 11 am.
February 19, Temora Ag Research Station at 11am.
February 24 Adelong Theatre at 11am.
February 26 Holbrook Community Centre at 11 am
