National record broken...Again

06 Sep, 2010 04:24 PM
THE national record for lamb is now $204 after the Fowler family from Harefield in the Riverina broke their previous top price by $1 at the sheep and lamb sale in Wagga on Thursday.

When it comes to breaking records John Fowler, "Kooroogong", is no stranger to success and he has claimed at least three of the national top prices set this season.

The money was paid for his extra heavy lambs, estimated to weigh 36 kilograms carcase weight.

The lambs were sold through Wagga livestock agency GJ Hulm.

Bah..ing any more sheep price rises must be a priority now..back here in Blighty we are being fleeced on a daily basis..lamb chops are now more expensive and even scarcer than Rocking Horse . Soon there will be nothing to eat with our chips...no lamb to throw in our scouse..whats the world coming to ..one asks.
