TWO men have been arrested at Sydney's Central railway station carrying two suitcases with $2.5 million in cash.

The men arrived from Perth by train about 11.30am on Sunday, police said.

After deciding the men were "acting suspiciously", police searched their suitcases and found the cache of cash.

The men were each charged with recklessly dealing in the proceeds of crime.

The 25-year-old man, from Auburn, and the 26-year-old man, from Sydney, were granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on April 19.
