The Poll Dorset ewe exhibited by the Valley Vista Stud from Coolac in Southern NSW earned kudos to win the top award at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo.
Valley Vista stud principal, Andrew Scott described the ewe as being "pretty special."
Mr Scott, wife Donna and children Joe, James, Luke, Sally and Zac took a team of 17 sheep to the show.
The sheep were shown under the prefix of Valley Vista and Valley Vista Park.
The, under one-and-a-half-years-old, was a standout at the event and ultimately had to go around the top ram to earn the interbreed honours.
Mr Scott said it is not common for a ewe to beat the ram in the interbreed.
"We knew she was good, and she had already won the interbreed at Royal Canberra Show in February," he said.
Success was plentiful for the Scott family and the three boys Joe, James and Luke earned lots of ribbons with their sheep from the Valley Vista Park stud.
"They have all come home with a ribbon," Mr Scott said.
Meanwhile longtime Corriedale breeder, Richard Archer from Quamby Plains in Tasmania showed the champion interbreed long-wool ram.
The Retallack Border Leciester stud from Ariah Park also enjoyed success.
Stud principals Graham and Isabella exhibited the supreme long-wool group and the British breeds group.
