Teys Australia has announced the purchase of the Charlton Feedlot from Elders.
The company said that securing the 20,000 head feedlot in north central Victoria would improve the quality and consistency of product supplied to its customers year round.
Teys executive director Geoff Teys said all existing commitments of the business would be honoured by the company and all feedlot employees have decided to accept employment with Teys.
The Teys family have a 43 year history in lot feeding and currently own feedlots at Condamine and Jindalee, which support their processing plants across regional Australia.
