The program called Presents 4 Ponies was instigated by the Equine Dental Vets organisation.
Wagga veterinarians Claire Dennis and Andy Lamont caught up with a couple of the horses at the Wagga RDA, performed the required dental work and gave the ponies some apples and carrots.
"The initiative aims to give back to the equine community on August 1 by providing free dental care to horses owned by deserving charities in Australia and New Zealand," Dr Lamont said.
Dr Lamont said a dental examination and corrective file takes about an hour for each horse.
