Students and agricultural enthusiasts are set to celebrate their enthusiasm for the rural sector by hosting a ball.

The inaugural Wagga Agricultural Club Ball was the brainchild of a group of Charles Sturt University (CSU) students and aims to bring people together from southern NSW and beyond.
The black-tie event will be held at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club Champagne Bar on Friday, September, 19 from 6.30pm.
One of the event’s organisers Eliza Star estimated that about 250 guests would attend.
“The event was organised by the Wagga Agricultural Club in collaboration with the Ag Race Day to increase the capacity for students to network with future employees while promoting the importance of agriculture,” she said.
“The night will also provide potential employment opportunities for students,” she said.
The band Mighty Yak will entertain visitors and Crop Life chief executive officer, Matthew Cossey is a guest speaker.
Miss Star said the winner of a photo competition featuring the best agricultural pictures would be drawn on the night.
