While there were general price falls of 10c in the 18.5 to 21 micron categories the biggest discounts appeared in the off types especially any over-length fleece wool.
The result of this slight correction was a 14 per cent national passed in rate which was tainted by the 20 per cent passed in rate in the western markets.
Buyers focus remained on the premium types which continued to show some price-growth especially in the superfine micron categories and last weeks support for the lower style and strength evaporated.

Crossbreds showed good support in the Sydney catalogue, while the larger Melbourne offering struggled to maintain last weeks levels.
Support for Merino cardings in the eastern markets was fully firm on last weeks levels, with an encouraging 12c increase measured in the western market.
