Numbers increased this week, with lambs showing the biggest change.
There were 13,700 new season lambs penned and quality continued to be fair.
There were good numbers of fresh well finished lambs on offer, though there was an increased number of pens showing seed contamination. Heavy and extra heavy lambs made up the majority of the yarding.
The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market.
Light new season lambs held firm, selling from $94 to $104/head. Trade weights were firm to $3 dearer, with prices ranging from $102 to $124/head.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs were also firm to $2 dearer, selling from $118 to $130 and $125 to $149/head, respectively.
Carcase prices averaged from 456c to 510c/kg. Old lambs held firm to $3 dearer, with trade weights selling from $74 to $111, heavies receiving $109 to $123 and extra heavies making $120 to $155/head.
Mutton numbers were similar to the previous sale, though quality was reduced slightly.
Merino ewes sold from $71 to $107 and crossbreds ranged from $78 to $102/head.
