Land Description: Humula Station’s topography is best described as rising from the Umbango Creek flats rising to gently undulating grazing country at an elevation of 250m to 350m.
The soils consist predominantly of alluvial soils along the creek flats to red and grey loams with granite on the rises. Soil fertility is evident from the riparian stands of Yellow and Grey Box, White Gum and Apple Box.
There are established tree plantings along water courses and for shade and shelter belts. Improved perennial pastures cover a significant proportion of the holding pasture mixes include phalaris, rye, white and sub clovers, in addition there annual pastures, grazing crops and sheltered grazing country with native summer grasses. Watering stock is based on multiple supply and delivery options, with 5km of double frontage to the Umbango Creek.
