With the exception of the northern region 26 mpg, the only other indicator to maintain or rise was the Merino carding indicator.
The larger offerings over the past fortnight have elevated the YTD totals for this season to slightly lower than last season. Support for better style fleece with suitable measurements continued to receive good support from a wide range of Buyers, while the lower style with weaker staple strength and high mid point breaks continued to be heavily discounted.
Merino skirtings followed the fleece trend displaying price falls of up to 20c week on week. Crossbreeds opened poorly but recovered some lost ground on the final day to close down 5c for the week. 53,101 bales have been rostered for the upcoming week, the largest offering since January.
