High yielding cows sold to weaker demand, with a major Queensland processor dominating sales. There was limited competition from southern buyers, with some southern buyers not operating.
The better finished well-bred lines made from 145c to
157.2c/kg. The 2 and 3 score cows were in limited supply and this category sold up to 27c/kg cheaper. The D3 medium weight lines averaged 127.6c/kg.
Bidding was strongest for European bulls, however prices were unable to sustain last week’s dearer trend. Well shaped B and Cm muscled bulls sold 17c to 24c cheaper and made from 165c to 198c/kg.
