Prices across several categories fell due to the absence of a couple of key buyers at the Wagga cattle market.
A total of 4540 went under the hammer and quality was mixed.
Vealers to restockers eased 4c selling from 170c to 216c/kg. Steers to the trade ranged from 182c to 212c/kg.
The medium and heavy yearling steers to the trade slipped 8c to range from 180c to 206c/kg.
Trade heifers were 10c to 13c cheaper making 150c to 179c/kg.
Going against the cheaper trend were medium weight heifers to feed and restock. They lifted 3c to 8c/kg. Feeder steers lost 5c, receiving 174c to 209c/kg.
Grown steers and bullocks lost 7c to 10c to range between 172c and 184c/kg. Grown heifers eased 4c to 9c with most ranging between 145c and 165c, to top at 173c/kg. Cows eased 2c to 6c/kg.
Medium weight cows ranged from 118c to 136c for the 1 and 2 scores and the heavy 3 and 4 scores made from 132c to 157c/kg.
