TWO charity steers have raised $27,677 at the Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre.
Each of the steers were supported by a donation of $12,500 from International Gaming Technology and Aristocrat Gaming before being sold under the hammer for commercial value.
The Murray Grey steer, donated by Ted and Georgette Keen from the Nawarra Stud at Wagga weighed 606 kilograms and made $2.16 a kilogram equating to $1308.
The Poll Hereford steer, donated by Kimberley Rodd from Wagga Poll Hereford Stud weighed in at 628 kilograms and fetched $2.18 a kilogram to earn an additional $1369.
The steers were prepared for auction by John Rodd and his daughters Kimberley and Nicole.
Nicole said they were thrilled with the outcome and the money will be donated to Willans Hill School and Relay for Life.
"The atmosphere was good and the support was excellent, it was good to see the kids from the Willans Hill School there watching to see what goes on at the sale," Nicole said.

TWO steers will go under the hammer at the Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre on Monday to raise money for charity.
The Murray Grey steer, weighing in at 600 kilograms and the Poll Hereford, tipping the scales at 622kg have been prepared for auction by the Rodd family.
John Rodd and his daughters Kimberley and Nicole are no strangers to preparing cattle.
They have an interest in the stud beef cattle industry and also have a strong commitment to the local community.
In fact the family has prepared steers to raise money for dozens of charities over the years.
The Murray Grey steer, bred by Ted and Georgette Keen from the Nawarra Murray Grey Stud in Wagga, will raise funds for the Willans Hill School.
Meanwhile, the Poll Hereford steer, bred by Kimberley Rodd will earn cash for Relay For Life.
Mr Rodd said the Poll Hereford steer was from strong bloodlines and his half brother had made $10,000 at the Hereford National at Wodonga.
The steers will at 11am at the Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre on Monday November 10.
