According to our online data the most popular event - in terms of online traffic - was the Battle on The Bidgee at Gundagai.
1. Battle On The Bidgee
Horsemanship was pushed to the limits to determine the winner of the coveted Battle on the Bidgee challenge.
The event is similar in format to the iconic Man from Snowy River at Corryong and King of the Ranges at Murrurundi.
Disciplines range from time trials to brumby catch and a buckjump competition. The winner of the Gundagai event for 2014 was Bronson Macklinshaw from Armidale. Emma O'Shea made the trip from Mareeba in North Queensland to claim the ladies title.
2. The Rural's top photo competition worth $100
Stephen Nichols won $100 in The Rural's top photos competition. Readers voted on the images in this gallery which they thought were the best. The most popular photo after all of the votes were counted was number 84.
3. Hottest photos from Riverina rodeos
Southern NSW is a hot spot for rodeos. The area features on the famous Christmas-run section of the annual calandar. And the success of the Wagga Professional Rodeo has also been a boon for the Riverina. The Rural compiled a gallery of rodeo photos feature pictures from the past.
4. Tarcutta Rodeo 2014
Competitors from throughout the Riverina and southern NSW supported the Tarcutta Rodeo. The event featured a full program of timed events as well as rough stock.

11. Henty Machinery Field Days
Henty Machinery Field Days is described as one of the best agricultural events on the calendar. The three-day event in Southern NSW exhibits some of the most innovative farming equipment. In addition a sheep dog trial and yard dog competition are run. And competitions such as natural fibre fashion awards also attract interest from more than 60,000 people who pass through the gates.

13. Professional Bull Riding comes to Wagga
After an absence of several years the thrills and spills associated with the PBR returned to Wagga. Livestock was supplied by some of Australia's best contractors and competitors from as far away as New Zealand participated.

Tumbarumba Rodeo on New Years Day attracts big crowds each year. The event always promises to thrill spectators and competitors travel from throughout Australia to participate in the event which is part of the Australian Professional Rodeo Association Christmas run.
