VENDORS Don and Mary Duncan, "Tyrell Park" Ungarie sold heavy lambs to a top of $178 at the Griffith market on Friday.
The first draft of 64 lambs made the top money and were followed by a second run of 154 which earned $177.20.
All up the Duncans sold 277 lambs for an average of $175.17.
Numbers lifted for final sale of the year. Lamb quality continued to be fair, with a large percentage of the yarding being well finished, however, there were still a few plainer lines.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs made up the majority of the offering. The usual buyers were present and competing strongly in a dearer market.
New season lambs lifted $3 to $5/head. Trade weight lambs received from $107 to $125 and heavy weights sold up to $136/head.
Light old lambs lifted $4 to sell from $82 to $94/head. Trade weights were $7 dearer, with prices ranging from $105 to $125/head.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs lifted $6 to $8/head. Heavy lambs sold from $125 to $144 and extra heavy lambs ranged in price from $139 to $178/head.
Carcase prices averaged from 520c to 564c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers were again made up of mostly mixed quality Merinos. Prices lifted $5, with Merino ewes selling from $70 to $110/head.
Crossbred ewes ranged from $70 to $96 and Dorper ewes sold from $60 to $90/head.
Merino wethers received from $65 to $115/head.
