Numbers declined this sale, with lambs the most affected.
Lamb quality was fair, with good numbers of finished lambs on offer along with the few plainer types. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs made up the majority of the yarding.
The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.
Light lambs were $1 easier, with prices ranging from $92 to $103/head. Trade weight lambs were $3 to $6 easier, with prices ranging from $105 to $125/head. Heavy and extra heavy lambs were well supplied but slipped $5/head.
Heavy lambs received from $129 to $147 and extra heavy weight lambs sold from $145 to $197/head. Carcase prices averaged from 539c to 570c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly mixed quality Merinos. Prices lifted $7/head. Merino ewes sold from $86 to $126 and crossbred ewes ranged in price from $74 to $115/head.
