Numbers slipped this sale, with lambs showing the decrease.
Lamb quality was again mixed, with some good lines of grain assisted lambs offered along with the plainer types.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs made up the majority of the yarding, although these did not display the weight of the previous sales. The usual buyers were present and competing in a fairly steady market.
Light lams sold from $95 to $104/head. Trade weights were fairly steady, with prices ranging from $108 to $145/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were firm to $2/head easier.
Heavy lambs sold from $140 to $165 and extra heavies ranged from $158 to a top of $209/head. Carcase prices averaged from 577c to 626c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers lifted slightly and quality continues to be very mixed. Prices lifted with Merino ewes selling from $83 to $148/head. Crossbred ewes ranged from $98 to $124 and Dorper ewes received from $85 to $115/head.
