Three of the 10 stud rams offered sold to $1500, and 173 of the 315 ewes penned cleared to a top of $400.
Cameron and Jenny MacPherson, Junee, offered 2009 to 2013-drop Poll Dorset ewes as part of their dispersal; their ewe hoggets will be sold at their February sale scanned-in-lamb.
The two-year-old ewes were the best sale of the female lots last Monday topping at $400 and averaging $264.
Buyers purchased in volume.
Pete and Kristen Sturgiss, "Kooradale", Cowra, secured 67 ewes to a top of $325.
The Sturgiss' sell Poll Dorset flock rams each year and also run a commercial prime lamb enterprise.
Bill Muller, "Nunlong", Bethungra, purchased 25 mixed age ewes and one stud ram to top the sale at $1500, and his son Simon, "Avondale", Illabo, secured 12 ewes.
The Johnston family, Bega, took home 20 ewes; Ashley Smith, Cardigan Village, Victoria, and Hilly Springs, Tumut, secured 12 ewes each.
The following day the MacPherson's staged their Rosemere SAMMs dispersal.
They cleared 15 of 38 flock rams to a top of $800 and sold two of 10 stud rams to a top of $2000.
All of the Rosemere ewes offered were passed in.
The sale was conducted by Glasser Total Sales Management, Albury, with Michael Glasser, Tom Boyle and Nick Fogarty sharing the auctioneer duties.
