One scholarship valued at $10,000 a year for up to three years of university study is available to support a female grower, shareholder, employee or a member of their extended family.
Last year scholarships were awarded to Samantha Glenn and Zoe Reynoldson.
Ms Glenn, from a Moulamein rice farm, received $30,000 over three years and Ms Reynoldson, from a Berrigan rice farm, received $15,000 over three years.
Both women, in their first year of study at the University of Melbourne, say the scholarship has been invaluable to laying the foundations for their careers in the rice sector.
The scholarship honours the memory of long-term SunRice employee Jan Cathcart and recognises her high principles, commitment and contribution to the industry.
Applications close November 27.
