The Australian Wool Exchange Eastern Market Indicator closed at 1241c/kg.
Moses and Son principal, Marty Moses said the catalyst for the upward swing was the low inflation figures early in the week which sent the Australian dollar into a 2 per cent tail spin.
The dollar fell from 77.64c to 75.77c with a slight rebound towards the close of the market.
