The Dissegna family sold their top ram 329.15 to L J and JK Fairclough of York Western Australia.
This ram won his class at the Bendigo Elite Show in September and is sired by Warburn Icon, the same sire of the top-priced ewe at Bendigo Elite which made $2200.
Another ram, 400.15, was also sold to Western Australia and went under the hammer for $7500 to GR and DJ Bingham “Iveston” Williams.
The second top-priced White Suffolk, ram 64.15, was sold to B and G Brill of “Glenroy”, Griffith for $9000.
A total of 16 White Suffolks returned an average of $4687.
In the flock ram section, 121 White Suffolk rams sold to a high of $1800 to average $1014 with BE and KL Johnson of Lake Cargelligo buying the top price rams.
Volume buyer Michael Rutledge of Hay taking secured 24 White Suffolk rams.
In the Poll Dorset section the top price stud ram, 54.15 sold to AN and JR Ireland of “Bygo”, Lake Cargelligo for $3500.
Ram 54 was the champion Poll Dorset ram at the Elders Riverina sheep Expo.
Six Poll Dorset stud rams made a top of $3,500 and averaged $2792.
Meanwhile, 38 Poll Dorset flock rams sold to a top of $1650 with top-priced rams going to HA and KA Wallace of Widgelli.
A total of 12 Prime SAMM rams sold to a high of $1175 to Paul Brown of Goolgowi.
