Moses and Son principal, Marty Moses said the Eastern Market Indicator increased by 67c (+5 per cent) to close the week on 1422c/kg which wa 3c short of the previous record set in 2011.
“I believe that supply concerns and solid short term demand came into play for the first sale in the new calendar year,” he said. The largest rises were in the sub 19 micron categories.
