The annual Tarago event on March 5 was well attended in fine weather for a wealth of attractions, from traditional shearing and dog trials, to eventing, and a packed Pavilion of arts and crafts alongside many children's activities.
A total prize pool of $1800 in the tug-o-war saw it hotly contested and ultimately taken out by the team 'The Loose Screws', led by captain Wayne Baynham, who said the money won would be going to the Starlight Foundation, which supports seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.
