The Tumut Bulls Rugby Union player was on hand at the Wagga sheep and lamb sale on Thursday to sell 55 lambs for an average price of $130.
Mr Stoddart said he was really pleased with how the lambs sold and he was grateful for the buyer support.
“They were certainly bidding well on them … we are happy,” he said.
The lambs were donated by 10 farmers from the Tumut district and the proceeds will go towards training equipment for the Bulls club.
“This is just the start,” Mr Stoddart said.
He anticipates there will be more sales down the track to help provide more funds.
