This week The Rural asked eight year 12 students at The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC) why they choose to study agriculture.
With positive commodity outlooks for livestock good opportunities in the primary industries sector can be found.
When The Rural visited the school students were learning from TRAC head of agriculture teacher Trevor Dawson.
It was a warm sunny day and the students were sitting outside in their fold up chairs and enjoying an enlightening lesson about cash flow.
With wads of cash – or fake monopoly money – in their hands they participated in an interactive and engaging session which addressed paying for crop inputs through to managing risk.
