GRIFFITH vendors sold 11,500 sheep and lambs at the market on Friday.
The usual buyers were present and competing in an easier market. Light lambs eased $1 to average $121/head.
Trade weights were $2 to $4 easier with prices ranging from $122 to $148/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were $3 to $4/head cheaper.
Heavy lambs sold from $147 to $163 and extra heavies received from $164 to $229/head. Carcase prices averaged from 607c to 627c/kg. Merino lambs sold from $132 to $190/head.
Mutton numbers were limited and quality was very mixed. Prices slipped $5 with Merino ewes selling from $114 to $170/head.
Dorper ewes sold from $116 to $165 and crossbred ewes reached $162/head.
