Head of Frensham Julie Gillick is seeing student interest in the world of agriculture grow.
As one of the few boarding schools in Australia with a farm on campus, Frensham takes seriously the provision of core curriculum opportunities for students.
Agriculture studies and Holt Farm are favourite parts of school life for many students.
The farm facility allows students to gain first-hand insight into the business of raising cattle and sheep.

“Co-ordinating teacher Leonie Harris is an extraordinary educator and is responsible for developing an ever-expanding program. She has built strong relationships with breeders and industry leaders,” Ms Gillick said.
Around half of Frensham’s 250 boarders are from families new to boarding and distance is rarely a factor in decision-making.
Whether five minutes or 26 hours from home, parents are seeing the benefits of boarding for developing emotional and intellectual maturity, self-discipline and self-management, and inspiring a sense of personal connection.
