Coolamon, Junee and Temora shires, which are home to the popular cheese factory, licorice and chocolate factory and aviation museum, respectively, have formed the Canola Trail, which was launched today.
The shires will combine tourism resources to attract more visitors to the area.
A website, social media and the production of a Canola Trail map is the first phase of the project with plans to host an event in canola season and establish signs coming next.
The Canola Trail promises to take people on a “journey through history” with a range of local food and shopping experiences.
Maps will be available from visitor information centres in the region this month and more information can be found at www.canolatrail.com.au.
