Most fleece categories lost 20c to 65c in Sydney and slightly more in Melbourne, which was an unexpected result.
Moses and Son principal, Marty Moses of Temora said despite the price drop demand was still high for the best “styles” of wool.
He said the heavy amount of vegetable matter in some fleece categories was the reason for discounts.
