Yet the farmer from “Fairview” just out the road from the site took the opportunity to open up a food stall this year featuring his home-grown Henty Lamb.
The second cross Poll Dorset lambs were roasted on a spit near the main arena and created quite a talking point because of the big crowds that were drawn in.
Mr Klemke teamed up with his daughter Laura Douglas to run the site and they pretty quickly sold out of lambs and had to call in for backups to be brought to the field days.
