Commercial confidence and top-performing genetics helped to underpin buyer confidence as new and repeat purchasers secured the lots.
Mark Flagg Livestock and Property principal, Mark Flagg of Barellan said in the Poll Dorset section the Tonacia family of Mount Beckom Stud sold rams to a top of $2300 to buyers Craig and Nigel Colman of “Navarino”, Ungarie.
The same vendor also sold another two rams for $2200 each and an additional one at $2100 to the Panazzolo Family Trust at Murrami. The Dissegna family of Warburn Stud, Griffith sold two rams for $2100 each to GJ and JF Kelleher of West Wyalong.
In the Border Leicester section of the auction the Tonacia family sold what was described as an outstanding run of rams with the top two making $1950. And in the White Suffolk section the Dissegna family sold rams to a high of $1600.
In all a total of 40 Border Leicster rams went under the hammer to average $1670, 42 Poll Dorset rams returned an average of $1479, and 50 Poll Dorsets averaged $1040.
