The stud has been run by the Kember family since 1922.

Gleneith has been involved with Lambplan since 1995 and was a founding member of Superborders.

Fertility is the key to any successful breeding operation and is a major focus for Gleneith.
The stud’s accurate pedigree records cover generations, which, along with Lambplan, allows it to identify animals that are superior in weaning percentage and milking ability.
Growth is also an important breeding factor, with rams selected that have superior growth rates to post weaning weight (nine months of age).
With fast growth equally fast returns, Gleneith joins its first X ewe lambs at nine months to gain an extra joining in their life and allow progeny to mature earlier.
Another area of importance for Gleneith as a breeder and its commercial clients is structure, with an aim to breed rams that are long bodied and upstanding with an even covered fleece.
