The Year 12 student at Wagga High School had always liked the idea of showing cattle but didn’t have a specific breed in mind until she began helping local stud, Birubi, with their show team.
“I started showing with the school and then wanted to further it,’’ she said.
Chloe is now a Limousin Youth ambassador and was given the job of ring steward at the 2014 Limousin National Show at Wodonga.
She is also treasurer of the Limousin Youth committee.
Chloe and fellow youth ambassador Lize Quinn, of Queensland, were given the opportunity of stewarding in the busy Angus ring at the 2014 Sydney Royal.
“The Youth committee is holding a heifer show in July at Tamworth and have organized a judging clinic in the Riverina at Birubi Limousins at the end of June,’’ Miss Janic said.
“It will cater for high school students and cover beef cattle assessment.
“We will be rolling out a series of assessment clinics across the country.’’
Miss Janic said Limousin Youth has 135 members from throughout Australia and New Zealand, and actively uses social media to keep the rapidly growing membership informed.
