COUNTRY music, campfires and good old-fashioned country hospitality will all be a feature of the inaugural Ardlethan Country Music and Talent Quest Festival from April 17 to 19 at the Ardlethan Showground.

The event, organised by Advance Ardlethan with assistance of the Ardlethan Lion's Club and musicians Narelle and Neil Corey, was billed as a fun event that's shaping up to be a wonderful experience for all country music enthusiasts.
The talent quest was open to all non-professional singers and musicians in all age groups.
The event begins on the Friday evening (April 17) with an "open-mic" concept starting at 6pm.
This would be followed by the veteran's section of the talent quest, which would will kick off the weekend of talented singers competing for the prize money on offer in each section.
Saturday's (April 18) talent quest begins with the sub-juniors at 9am, followed by juniors and seniors after lunch, all competing in a variety of country music genres.
As well as prize money, the overall winner would receive an acoustic electric cutaway solid top guitar from major sponsors Ibanez and Custom Music, Wagga Wagga.
The winner will also receive a recording session at Flying Fox Studio, Wagga.
To cap off the full day of music, a concert will begin at 8pm on the Saturday night, featuring well-known country artists Tom Maxwell, Grant Luhrs and Aimee Hannan.
There will be plenty of camping sites available at the Ardlethan Showground for caravans and tents, with showers and powered sites available.
Rates for a powered site are $20 per night.
Market and food stalls would also be a feature of the event.
