Lamb quality was again mixed with both well finished and plainer lambs penned.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs made up the majority of the yarding along with a handy offering of Merino and Dohne lambs. The usual buyers were present and competing in a fairly steady market.
Light lambs sold from $84 to $102/head. Trade weights held firm with prices ranging from $100 to $126/head. Heavy and extra heavy lambs were firm to $2/head better.
Heavy lambs sold from $129 to $135 and extra heavyweights sold from $136 to $180/head. Carcase prices averaged from 517c to 537c/kg. Merino and Dohne lambs sold from $102 to $150/head.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality was very mixed. Prices lifted with Merino ewes selling from $83 to $124 and crossbred ewes sold from $91 to $127/head.
