This means that the only open fires that are allowed to be lit would be for the purpose of cooking.
On Friday, January 1 the temperature is tipped to reach a top of 36 degrees in Wagga, 37 degrees in Griffith and 36 degrees in Cootamundra. A broad, low-pressure trough is expected to move over NSW on Sunday, bringing widespread showers to much of the state.
There is a ‘high’ fire danger rating for the Northern, Southern, Eastern Riverina and the Southern Slopes.
