Junee Show Society president Peter Commens was delighted with the day and said approximate gate numbers of 1700 were “as good as we’ve ever had”.
“We’re over the moon with the way the public supported us,” Mr Commens said.
“It surprised us in a way because the weather wasn’t on our side, it was quite a cold day.”
The day was highlighted by a WWI reenactment, school displays, ring events, sideshows and a fireworks display.
Tahlia Moore was named Junee Showgirl for 2016, beating out Caroline Duddy.
Mayor Neil Smith praised organisers for making improvements to the show each year.
“Belling Hall had been improved, it’s a much nicer environment, and the car display was much more accessible.”
“So they're making improvements all the time which is great to see.”
