THE Yarrawonga Merino Stud on-property ram sale will be held on Monday, September 11.
There will be 240 rams are on offer, made up of 160 poll rams and 80 horn rams.

The Yarrawonga Merino Stud was founded by Don and Thea Phillips in 1971 on the Monaro after winning the Statewide Country Life Ewe Competition and has grown to be one of the most progressive and productive merino studs in Australia.

This year the Yarrawonga bloodline has dominated ewe competitions in NSW and Tasmania, winning four outright.
In the 2006-16 bloodline comparison, the Yarrawonga bloodline continues to perform well above industry standards.
The bloodline comparison shows that Yarrawonga is in the top 5 per cent for $/DSE from the 77 bloodlines analysed.
Included in the sale is the first offering of Y961. This potent sire has 50 sons in the sale and has proven to be a top sire within the industry.
The Yarrawonga stud is now located at “Cunningham Plain”, Harden, where sheep are run under natural and improved pastures.
