The Spirit of the Land Festival continues to go from strength to strength and will again attract dozens of artists and thousands of visitors to Lockhart over the weekend of October 7-8.
The highlight of the Festival is the $10,000 National Farm Art Sculpture Awards, held along the banks of Brookong Lagoon.
Old tools, car parts and disused farm equipment are some of the discarded scrap metal used to create the sculptural masterpieces.
There is also incredible fine art and photography on display.
The beautiful main street in Lockhart hosts nearly 100 market stalls, with shops open all weekend.

Next to the sculpture display, the entertainment area at Brookong Lagoon offers great food, live music and plenty of shady seating. At dusk it’s the perfect place to sit and watch the spectacular fireworks display.
Hot air balloon rides will be drifting over the Lockhart skyline at sunrise each morning, while the popular Lions train will be providing free transport around the town for everyone to enjoy.
