Held from 9am to midday at various locations across the city, the event caters for two-to-12 year olds. 

Activities include making your own paper animals at the Botanic Gardens, a treasure hunt at the Civic Centre and using recycled boxes to build a playground.

The first Little Big Day Out was held in 2003 to showcase council services.
