Some of the Riverina received good rains overnight.
Rain did revive some restocker activity, mostly at a local level across lighter weight classes, while southern restockers were active in the 330-400kg weight bracket.
Yearlings and weaners made up the bulk of the offering with trade types in reasonable supply.
Vealers were in short supply making from 270c up to 316c/kg for the lighter weights.
The main run of heifers averaged 262c, while the steer portion sold from 265c to 293c/kg.
Restocker competition was stronger at times for well-bred lines.
The bulk of the store steers made from 284c to 342c/kg.
The heifer portion sold to enthusiastic bidding making from 266c to 303c/kg.
Medium weight steers averaged 277c, after reaching a top of 289/kg.
The bulk of the lighter weight heifers, 280-330kg, tracked dearer making from 255c to 290c/kg.
Heavy grown steers and bullocks sold to a larger group of processors, making from 262c to 283c/kg.
Cow numbers lifted and quality was very good.
Prices lifted late in the day due in part to a southern processor commencing to buy late in the sale.
Heavy cows topped at 228c, to average 220c/kg.
The D3 medium weights were well supplied, making from 200c to 223c/kg.
Cows back to the paddock were keenly contested making from 182c to 220c/kg.
