The Miss Muddy Series is a 5km fun run that is jam packed with obstacles and has a national following.
Henty has been named as a wildcard location to possibly host the event in November next year.
Henty Machinery Field Days executive officer Belinda Anderson confirmed she had been in talks with organisers of Miss Muddy. She said there were plans to inspect the Henty site in December before making a final decision.
“This is just another example of the possibilities for the field day site and what it can do and be used for,” she said.
If Henty does host the Miss Muddy fun run organisers estimated competitors would travel from Albury, Wagga and Canberra to compete. Mrs Anderson said diversification and hosting events had gained more momentum and offered scope outside the traditional three-day field days in September.
