Are you still looking for how to celebrate the race that stops the nation this year? Here are just some of The Daily Advertiser’s suggestions.
Rules Club:
A luncheon will be held from 11:45am to 2:30pm alongside a carvery buffet with seafood, Melbourne Cup sweeps and TAB betting facilities.
Wagga RSL:
Sweeps will be available from 10am. A high tea will commence between 11am and 3pm and there will be a best-dressed ceremony with a $100 hamper to be won.
Victoria Hotel:
A champagne breakfast will be on from 10am with sweeps and full TAB betting facilities. Regular specials will be on with televisions broadcasting the event live.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club:
Families will be able to watch all of the Melbourne Cup day shenanigans live on all of the big screens from 11am.
