However, the modern B&S Ball movement has made a resurgence in recent years. It is a chance for people to socialise and at the same time raise funds for sporting clubs, charities and emergency services. The Rock hosted its first B&S Ball on Saturday and organiser Kelly Forrest of The Rock said she was pleased with how it went. A hail storm pummeled showground on Saturday but she said it didn’t affect enthusiasm.
“It’s all part of the fun,” she said. Ms Forrest collaborated with her daughter, Ash Craig, for almost two years to organise the ball. And for people who follow the B&S Ball circuit distance was no barrier. Interstate travelers caught up with local revelers for the Riverina event.
