Ross and Mandy Smith’s Glenellerslie property is not only taking part in Beef Week this year, it will also be celebrating its silver-anniversary bull sale.
Glenellerslie will be open for inspection on day one of Stock & Land Beef Week, on Tuesday, January 29.
However, the stud’s 25th sale will be held on Tuesday, February 13 commencing at 1pm.
There will be 32 Hereford bulls and 28 Poll Hereford bulls catalogued.
They are protected against Vibrio and are semen tested, have tested negative to pestivirus and are also EU accredited.
Glenellerslie has never previously offered such a large number of bulls and this year it has more than doubled the usual numbers of polled bulls.
New sires purchased over the past five years have had a huge impact on the Glenellerslie herd.
Those sires are producing dark and muscular bulls with plenty of size and weight for their age.
The bulls are famous for their docility and doing ability.
