According to Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service numbers eased this sale with both lamb and mutton showing the decrease.
Light lambs averaged $122/head. Trade weights were firm to $3 better to make from $127 to $154/head.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs sold firm to a couple of dollars dearer. Heavy lambs made $151 to $162 and extra heavy weights received from $160 to $216/head.
Carcase prices averaged 624c to 646c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers were made up of mostly mixed quality Merinos. These sold from $103 to $150/head.
